As the name of this popular UK Lotto game suggests, Daily Play was a game that is played every day of the week except Sundays and the 25th December. The National Lottery operators made the decision to terminate play on this game and the final draw took place on 6th May 2011. The game offered odds of winning any prize at 1 in 8, that may have resulted in quite a good number of Daily Play celebrations!

Daily Play Lotto
To participate in the Daily Play game, you needed to select seven numbers from the range 1 to 27. As with other UK Lotto games, you could take advantage of a Lucky Dip facility if you preferred to have your numbers generated at random. You could also pay for the same set(s) of numbers to be entered for several consecutive draws – a very useful feature that meant you didn’t have to buy tickets daily.
Daily Play Prizes
Daily Play offered five prize levels. Not only did these include a top prize of £30,000, but they also included a consolation prize of a free Daily Draw ticket for any player who didn’t match any of the numbers drawn. Details of the prize levels, and the odds of winning in each case, are as follows:

In line with general UK Lotto rules, players who won a Daily Play prize have no more than 180 days from the date of the draw to make their claim. If they missed this deadline then their prize was forfeited and went directly to a fund for Good Causes instead. The good news for those who bought their Daily Play tickets online is that they were notified of any win automatically, so missing out wasn’t be a problem! It wasn't quite an instant lottery but playing daily came pretty close.
